A few weeks ago, we were on a little road trip. She was being needy in the car, which is both understandable and frustrating.

“You’re driving me crazy!” one of us said.

“I’m not driving!” she replied.

No. No, you were not. A good lesson for us: we, the parents, drive. She’s our passenger, and we should do our best to deliver her, safe and happy, to her destination, wherever that may be.
